Pontem Wallet Guide

Pontem Wallet is a secure and user-friendly cryptocurrency wallet designed for the Aptos blockchain, enabling users to easily manage their digital assets. Additionally, it supports the Movement chain and serves as a wallet for interacting with the Movement ecosystem. Below is a guide to help you set up the wallet for Movement ecosystem:

  1. Download it from any app store, such as the Chrome Web Store.

  2. After installing, set up a new wallet or restore an existing one. There are two options for creating a new wallet one-tap creation or the classic way. We recommend the classic way, because at the end you should copy your recovery phase

  3. When you create a new wallet, you'll be prompted to set a password for accessing the pontem wallet extension.

  4. If you click create, they will ask for a default network. You can just ignore it and scroll down and skip it.

  5. After you skipped, you'll receive a mnemonic phrase. It's important to save and store this phrase securely and offline! Ensure you keep this information stored offline; you can never be certain when a malicious actor might gain access to your cloud storage or any other supposedly secure location.

  6. After you filled the blanks your wallet is ready!

  7. Now you should make sure to change your wallet network from Mainnet to Movement! Click on the three points on the top right corner.

Finally you are ready to go and your wallet should look like this. You've set up your pontem wallet to work with Movement!
